‘Tranquil’ two-bedroom cottage with stunning views up for sale for just £15,000

A “tranquil” cottage in Scotland with stunning views is up for sale with a guide price of just £15,000.

The two-bedroom property, currently derelict and in need of a full renovation, would make a lovely home or holiday cottage, according the sellers.

Situated in Argyll and Bute, on the southernmost tip of the pretty Mull of Kintyre, the home is close to beaches and boasts a garden with gorgeous views.

It is the cheapest cottage for sale in the area and will go under the hammer on Friday with a guide price of £15,000.

Mandi Cooper, managing director of Auction House Scotland said the cottage could make the perfect holiday home for tourists.

She said: “With a guide price of £15,000 and set in scenic surroundings close to many of Argyll and Bute’s attractive sandy beaches, the cottage offers an exciting opportunity for a potential buyer to create a wonderful new home in this tranquil setting, or repurpose the property as a holiday cottage for tourists who come to enjoy this beautiful part of Scotland.”

The cottage will be going under the hammer at Auction House Scotland’s in-room auction taking place at 2.00pm on Friday 2nd September at the Radisson RED hotel, 25 Tunnel Street, Glasgow.

The area was immortalised by the 1977 hit song Mull of Kintyre by former resident Paul McCartney’s band at the time, Wings.

Yesterday, The Mirror reported on a beautiful rustic cottage near Paris that has gone on the market for £50,000.

Located in a small hamlet of houses in Bessines-Sur-Gartempe, Limousin, the idyllic property could make the perfect holiday home.

Despite being a short drive to and from Paris, you may not want to leave the cottage as it boasts beautiful views from the attached garden which looks out over the valley towards Bersac-sur-Rivalier.

Despite it’s low price, the property is in good condition and doesn’t need a renovation.
