Product Description:
The Creative Cake System has been co-created by Katy Sue Designs and leading international cake artist Ceri Griffiths and is a set of eight ground breaking, high quality, food grade silicone molds. The mold system will allow cake decorators to use sugar paste or fondant to achieve a professional royal iced look to their cakes for the first time.
Cake artists like Ceri produce breath-taking royal iced cakes, but piping is a skill that not everyone has the confidence to learn. We hope that this system will make this style of cake accessible to all skill levels and perhaps even encourage piping skills as additional over piping. We think the Creative Cake System offers a solution that the cake and cookie world has been waiting for.

Barrels:
The barrel is one of the main foundation pieces for any piped border, acting as a support for other scroll pieces, used alone, its symmetrical shape can give a beautiful border.

S Scrolls:
A key element in scroll piping, the S Scroll can be found in nearly all piped borders and can be created in any direction or size often combined with other scroll pieces. This mold gives you two sizes in left and right combinations allowing for symmetrical designs.

C Scrolls:
C Scrolls are one of the main shapes found within a border, combined with the S Scroll you can produce a variety of borders both contemporary and historical. This mold gives you two sizes in left and right combinations allowing for symmetrical designs.

Scoops:
The scoop is a decorative element found mainly used as a complimentary shape. This molded piece lends itself well to being manipulated to create interesting shapes in an overall design such as hearts and twists.

Serrated V’s:
A classic piece of piping inspired by historical styles, this design element adds drama, texture, and shape to any border.

Shell Border Selection:
The shell may seem like a simple shape however, it is one of the key elements within piping techniques; the uses for this piece are endless especially when combined with other border elements.

Mini and Micro Border Set:
In this exciting mold we have taken all of the main elements of the Creative Cake System and miniaturized them down to two different tiny scales, for those who create cookies, miniature wedding cakes, cake pops or miniature cakes for craft projects and card making this is perfect. Scale one is 1 inch and scale two is ½ inch.

Rope Border:
Classic and clean the sweeping spiral of this border perfectly compliments the textured surfaces of the scroll borders, if used independently you have a decorative element for both cake and board.

What makes this product innovative?
The Creative Cake System took five months of intensive product development to ensure that cake decorators at all skill levels could achieve the perfect look of royal icing using these innovative molds.
Ceri has been teaching English overpiping internationally for over 35 years, so we wanted to take that expert knowledge of how royal icing is built up, to create easy to use molds which produce the essential building blocks. The molded pieces are very detailed and will give the great definition you expect from a piped piece. This is an easy to use system that can be built into endless combinations of creativity either on its own or by elaborating even further by over piping.
There are also hidden benefits to using the Creative Cake System molds to achieve a royal iced look as the use of fondant or sugar paste means you can achieve a perfect color match for the cake covering and the designs. As the molds don’t use brittle royal icing, this also means that at last a cake can be cut without it cracking and breaking under the knife! Those decorators who work in humid countries may also find the extra piping challenges of slippage and drying are now resolved, meaning they can work faster and more commercially

What type of buzz has this product created?
This product has not yet launched, Edible Artists Awards are one of the first to see it. We plan a Facebook Live introduction on the September 18 followed by an exclusive TV launch with Create and Craft TV in the UK on September 19. General release is September 26 and the launch in Asia is at the British Embassy in Hong Kong on November 30.

It is such a fantastic product! Imagine piping using Royal icing takes hours to perfect but with the creative cake system, you get the same effect of piped Royal icing in seconds! No cracking and will have the same size and length, the way you want it! Well done Ceri and Katy Sue for such an innovative product which makes our job a lot easier. Thank you!
